I just discovered this site a week or so ago, and in less than a weeks time, I'll have watched all 8 episodes, and will be sad that it's over . . .

Just saw Episode 6 a short while ago. Geez, the block lady really pissed me off. The whole province society was just way too over the top.

That said, for some reason,  I thought / hoped that Commander Kroll would launch an attack of retribution on that society. It would have been grand to see those woman receive their comeuppance. I really thought that at the end, after showing the family leave, that you'd see a bunch of his soldiors show up. Bummer.

As a feminist I volunteer with NOW (national organization for women) and I'm taking intro feminist theory this semester in school. The antics of the women in that provance are ugly but that's what women in  many parts of the world go through every day. There are a lot of problems in the developed world as well. Even in the US
I think the point was to illustrate how very ugly it is when the shape of one's body is expected to determine their station in life instead of what is in their mind. Remember the show starts off with Kroll making out with some prostitute and bragging about his exploits, than he has to deal with the shoe being on the other foot so no sympathy for Kroll here.
